Privacy Policy
Placeholder — replace with a policy reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
This placeholder outlines the sections a real privacy policy for BareedHub needs, given that the service stores personal email content:
- What data is collected at signup (username, domain choice, password — hashed, never stored in plain text).
- What data is collected through use of the service (email content, attachments, metadata, IP address at login).
- How long data is retained after an account is closed or goes inactive.
- Whether/how email content is scanned (e.g. for spam/abuse detection) and by what automated systems.
- Third parties data is shared with — e.g. a transactional email relay (SES/Mailgun/Postmark), a payment processor (Stripe) for upgrades, and Google AdSense on the marketing pages (cookies/ads personalization disclosure required for AdSense approval).
- User rights: export, deletion, and correction of their data (required for GDPR if you'll have EU users, and generally good practice regardless).
- Contact details for privacy requests.
- Children's privacy statement (most free-email services require users to be 13+ or 16+ depending on jurisdiction).
